I've been trying to figure out why my NVENC codec is missing for so long, almost a week now. I genuinely don't know what to do anymore, I tried reinstalling my drivers, installing latest drivers, rolling back to older drivers, I tried the shift click on preferences to get the hidden internal tab and changed the settings, I tried reinstalling Vegas but no luck.
I tried installing Vegas Pro 18 too to see if it was there but it wasn't. #SONY VEGAS MOVIE STUDIO HD PLATINUM 11 KEEPS CRASHING PRO# It's almost as if Vegas doesn't recognize my GPU. Something very confusing is that in the HEVC/AAC tab whenever you press render as, I have the Intel QSV codec.
I have saved render settings when I was able to use NVENC and every time I press render with those render settings selected it crashes.
